How OINP Operates in 2026
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) underwent a historic restructuring on 30 May 2026, when all nine legacy streams (including Human Capital Priorities, French-Speaking Skilled Worker, Skilled Trades, and Employer Job Offer streams) were revoked. Applications submitted before the cutoff continue to be processed under the previous regulations.
On 26 June 2026, Ontario introduced the Ontario Workforce Priority Stream, opening its expression of interest (EOI) portal on 4 August 2026. The new program is employer-driven, requiring eligible employers to register and supporting workers across TEER 0–3, TEER 4–5, and eligible physicians.
