What is CA ANZ?

CA ANZ is one of the three professional accounting bodies approved by the Australian Department of Home Affairs to assess accounting qualifications for skilled migration.

Assesses Accountant (General) 221111, Management Accountant 221112, Taxation Accountant 221113, External Auditor 221213, and Finance Manager 132211.

Qualification Standard

Requires an assessed qualification comparable to at least an Australian Bachelor degree, with documented coverage of mandatory accounting core knowledge areas.

English Language Standard

Requires Academic IELTS (at least 7.0 each component) or PTE Academic (at least 65 each component) for migration assessment, or 8.0/79 for Superior points.

Skilled Employment Assessment

Optional add-on assessment verifying post-qualification paid professional employment of at least 20 hours per week.

Who can apply?

Applicants must satisfy qualification equivalency, syllabus coverage across mandatory core areas, and mandatory English language benchmarks.

Mandatory Knowledge Areas: Degree must cover required subjects including Accounting Systems & Processes, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and Business Finance (plus Auditing and Australian Taxation Law for auditors and tax accountants).

English Language: IELTS Academic 7.0 in each band or PTE Academic 65 in each component. Valid for 3 years.

Degree Equivalency: Assessed as equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) or higher.
