Canada PR

Canada PR visa is a popular choice for those looking to migrate to Canada. A Canadian permanent resident is someone who has been granted permanent resident status by immigrating to Canada. A permanent resident is not a Canadian citizen; rather, all permanent residents are citizens of other countries. In order to maintain permanent resident status, permanent residents must meet certain requirements like the residency obligation.

Canada offers different immigration programs through which you can apply for permanent residency status. Among these the most popular are:

Express Entry Program

The last Express Entry draw took place over a month ago on August 15. It was an all-program draw that invited 4,300 candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score (CRS) of 496. In an all-program draw, candidates are considered if they are in the Express Entry application pool and meet the minimum CRS score.

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will be focusing on Express Entry candidates who have strong or work experience in the following fields:

  1. Healthcare
  2. French language proficiency
  3. science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
  4. trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
  5. transport
  6. agriculture and agri-food

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

The Provincial Nominee Program or PNP is a program for workers who have the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific Canadian province or Territory. Each

province and territory has its own streams and programs that target students, business people, skilled workers, and semi-skilled workers.

Alberta:-

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, previously known as the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) comprises eight streams isolated into two primary classes: one for labourers and the other for business visionaries. The territory issues commonplace designations to outside nationals who meet program-explicit measures and show an aim to live in the grassland region. The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program continues to help employers meet their workforce needs by nominating individuals whose occupation is in high demand and who have a parent, child or sibling who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Alberta. Having immediate relatives in Alberta provides these newcomers with the added benefit of a ready-made support system, which sets them up for success in their employment and lives in Alberta

Dedicated Healthcare Pathway

This pathway operates under the Alberta Express Entry Stream, and will use up to 30% of available Express Entry allocations in 2023.

Physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, physician assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and clinical social workers are eligible.

Eligible healthcare professionals must have an Alberta job offer with an employer in the healthcare sector in Alberta, and must have verifiable proof of meeting the minimal requirements prescribed by the applicable regulatory organization to be able to practice in Alberta.

AAIP Rural Entrepreneur Stream – Minimum Investment Criteria

Minimum investment required by applicants has been reduced from $200,000 to $100,000, which is more comparable and competitive with other entrepreneur streams.

AAIP Rural Renewal Stream – Removal of Settlement Organization Endorsement Letter in Community Designation Application Process

This removal streamlines the community designation application process.

Communities are still required to complete a settlement plan as part of the designation application process to demonstrate adequate supports are in place to effectively welcome newcomers.

Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP)

The AAIP will now participate in the EMPP.

The EMPP was developed to help refugees with the skills and qualifications needed in Canada immigrate through existing economic programs.

The AAIP is working with the federal government to implement the pilot and supplement its annual nominations through this unique opportunity.

More details on implementation will be available in the coming months.

AAIP phone line

This compliments the existing comprehensive suite of AAIP information and contact forms available online, including the self-serve application portal which guides and updates applicants interactively.

British Columbia:-

The BC PNP comprises of the Skills Immigration, Express Entry BC and Entrepreneur Immigration Streams. These streams are isolated into classes that target talented labourers, global alumni and different experts with abilities, experience and capabilities required in B.C.
